Piedmont Real Estate

Piedmont, Oklahoma, is a small city located in Canadian County, in the central part of the state. Its history is closely tied to the development of the Oklahoma Territory and the growth of its surrounding communities.

Piedmont's history, like many other towns in Oklahoma, is rooted in the Land Run of 1889. As part of the Land Run, unassigned lands in the Oklahoma Territory were opened for settlement, and settlers rushed in to claim their parcels. This event marked the beginnings of Piedmont as a rural community.

Piedmont was officially incorporated as a town on January 10, 1903. With the establishment of local government, the community could better manage its affairs and services. It continued to grow as a small, close-knit town.

In recent years, Piedmont has seen substantial growth and development, reflecting the broader trend of urban expansion in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. New residential and commercial developments have emerged, and the city continues to evolve.

Today, Piedmont is known for its rural charm, family-friendly atmosphere, and proximity to the amenities and employment opportunities in the larger Oklahoma City area. The town maintains a strong sense of community and is home to various local businesses, schools, and recreational facilities, making it an attractive place for residents seeking a quieter, suburban lifestyle while remaining close to the urban conveniences of the region.
